The final new moon of 2025 is here to lead us gently forward. The road ahead may feel unknown, but we’re well on our way to what we’ve been working towards. A Poem Forward
The earth tilts to its fresh desire
Dense night and dark forest part ahead
And with ever-watching stars at my back
Let the shadow of the past become my guidepost
The path traveled falls vacant in the gloaming
Footsteps melt back into the underbrush
And in the clearing renewal of the forest
Let the dew-rich moss reveal new passage
Moon Poems
Now that I’ve written three of these little moon poems/spells, I’m considering whether they should go in a mini zine or if I should wait and see how large the collection grows before putting them into print.
While we wait for me to make up my mind about that, I have decided to design some shareable graphics of the collection. So here’s the first of those below, with the other two to come shortly. Please feel free to repost and share however you like, as long as the image retains my identity.
What I’m Reading This Week
The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman - Slowly making my way through my reread of the His Dark Materials trilogy now that the final book in The Book of Dust trilogy is out. These were my favorite books growing up, and rereading them now as an adult has been such a treat.
13 Wishes and 12 Omen Days by Nelly Bryce - This is a lovely little article about a few rituals to follow during the transition between 2025 and 2026. I’m looking forward to easing my way into 2026. I feel our current culture acts like the transition should be instantaneous and we should be fully new people at the stroke of midnight, and that’s just stressful and unrealistic.
Capricorn Season Overview by Anthony Perrotta - I’m so pleased that this was released this morning, so that I can share it here! This is a thorough overview of the upcoming Capricorn season and important dates to be mindful of in the coming months.

"the earth tilts to its fresh desire" and "footsteps melt back into the underbrush" are my two favourite lines, so good!!!!! tilt and melt are two excellent verbs and they have that nice sound similarity too (i forget the technical term, my brain is in hibernation, but you get me)
